I have known Garry for many years. I first met him when he came into Systems Plus and I was immediately stricken by his easy-going manner coupled with a keen, decisive business insight. I was already thinking of hiring him in a sales position when he revealed that his profession was that of a business coach. It was not long before that was the basis of our professional relationship.

Garry has a unique ability to absorb and understand minute details of almost any situation while also being mindful of the broader implications from the 30,000 foot view. Over time, he has shown a deep understanding of my goals and capabilities. He can inspire me and push me to achieve results beyond the normal reach of the day to day activities. He is aware of my shortcomings and limitations, using that as leverage to move ahead without invoking any negative connotations.

Garry possesses a keen understanding of human nature and motivation. I can recall countless times when he related an anecdote from his experience that truly illuminated the meaning and lesson from my situation. We have also always been able to share a laugh about the funny situations we get ourselves into.

Garry has always followed up our coaching sessions with a “Fieldwork” email. This has proved invaluable to me as a guidepost to the core items that I wanted to be working on. It is so easy in today’s fast-paced business environment to get caught up in the myriad responsibilities and tasks that one never finds time to invest in meaningful change. I have found that my coaching relationship to Garry has always pointed me toward those “extras” and highlighted the value of the time invested to achieve them.
